The C40 Recharge was introduced at a special preview event, before its debut at the 2022 Bangkok Motorbike Show. The C40 Recharge costs $84,200, $4,900 higher than its brother XC40 Recharge.
C40 Recharge inherits the powertrain from brother XC40 Recharge, with P8 AWD electrical system, including two electric motors located on each axle, total capacity of 402 horsepower, torque of 660 Nm. C40 Recharge accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h.
Powering the engine is a 78 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a range of 420 km according to WLTP standards. 8 hours charging time with 11 kW three-phase outlet. In addition, the car supports DC fast charging (using CCS connection) for a capacity of 150 kW with a charging time of only 32-37 minutes for a battery capacity of 10-80%.
The difference between the C40 Recharge and the XC40 Recharge lies in the coupe-like roofline, sportier, 70 mm lower height at 1,582 mm. The LED taillights are designed to extend into the rear door.
