"With the Toyota brand, bZ4X is the first model in the bZ (electric vehicle) line, which will be introduced [to the Thai market] this year," said Noriaki Yamashita, president of Toyota Thailand.
In the immediate future, Toyota bZ4X will probably be imported CBU into Thailand, expected in the second half of the year.
It is not clear if Toyota plans to assemble this electric crossover in Thailand, but it is likely, as the company plans to boost production and consumption of electric vehicles in general in Thailand.
In terms of dimensions, the Toyota bZ4X is 4,690 mm long, 1,860 mm wide and 1,650 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. This size makes the bZ4X longer than the RAV4 and has the same wheelbase as the Highlander.

Toyota bZ4X has the same shape and size as the RAV4 model but is lower, has a larger wheelbase and has a sharper, angular design.
The 5-seater electric crossover Toyota bZ4X has two configurations: front-wheel drive (FWD) and 4-wheel drive (AWD). The FWD version uses one electric motor with a capacity of 201 hp (150 kW), while the AWD version uses two electric motors with a capacity of 107 hp (80 kW), combined for a maximum capacity of 215 hp. force (160 kW).
Both versions use a 71.4 kWh battery pack, supported by an AC charging system with a maximum capacity of 6.6 kW and a DC charging system with a maximum capacity of 150 kW. The car is introduced as being able to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 8.4 seconds with the FWD version, and in 7.7 seconds with the AWD version.
Toyota claims that the battery capacity will remain at 90% after 10 years of use, equivalent to 240,000 km. In addition, the battery pack is introduced to have high safety, good control of voltage, current and temperature..., ensuring safety even in the event of a collision.
The Toyota bZ4X is the opening product of the Japanese automaker's bZ series of electric vehicles. By 2025 there will be a total of 7 bZ samples. Toyota aims to electrify its entire product portfolio by 2050, with a diverse range of vehicles, from conventional hybrids, rechargeable hybrids, to pure electric vehicles and fuel cell electric vehicles.
Also in Southeast Asia, the Malaysian market is likely to receive the Toyota Bz4X model much later than Thailand, expected in 2023.
