Huawei just announced several new devices at Mobile World Congress (MWC), including an all-in-one computer (AIO) called the MateStation X.
According to Digitaltrends, the MateStation X comes with a nice screen and pretty good specs to compete with Apple's iMac in the AIO computing market. With a 28.2-inch screen, the MateStation X has an impressive design.
It's a minimalist design with a 4K+ display surrounded by ultra-narrow bezels on all four sides, offering a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 92% screen-to-body ratio. This screen is larger than Apple's 24-inch iMac.
In terms of hardware, MateStation X is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H chip with 8 processing cores and 16 working threads, allowing a maximum boost clock up to 4.4 GHz. The product does not have discrete graphics, but instead relies on AMD Radeon integrated graphics on the processor chip.
Additionally, the MateStation X display supports multi-touch and is promised to deliver an impressive 98% P3 wide color gamut on the MateStation X. The display offers up to 500 nit brightness and is VESA-certified. DisplayHDR 400.
Other MateStation X specifications include 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD using PCIe interface, as well as support for Wi-Fi 6 access.
Huawei has yet to reveal the exact release date and market for the MateStation X, only knowing that it will cost $2,450, which is much more expensive than the $1,300 starting price of the 24-inch iMac.
