According to TheVerge, 8BitDo has announced its first controller with an Xbox-style design, called the Ultimate Wired Controller.
There used to be an Xbox-specific version of 8BitDo's excellent Pro 2 controller, but that version has a more PlayStation-like design. The new Ultimate Wired Controller, on the other hand, is designed to be more in line with the official Microsoft options.
The new controller features Xbox-specific buttons, as well as support for rear-mounted paddle keys like a professional controller, and can be customized via software on Xbox, Windows, Android, and iOS.
It also has a headphone jack and vibration trigger, which is suitable for regular Xbox One and Xbox Series controllers. Ultimate Wired Controller models will be available in black and white. According to testing by The Verge, the controller offers a better fit and flexibility for PC gaming, and most games support the same button layout, even though they work on Steam , Game Pass or other platform.
8BitDo is taking pre-orders for the Ultimate Wired Controller for Xbox on Amazon starting today. The device is priced at $44.99 and will begin shipping on May 31.
