Should I use an electric toothbrush?

Electric toothbrushes are good for older people because the handle is easier to hold and the vibration makes them easier to use without forceful hand movements. It is especially effective for people suffering from problems such as arthritis.

• Good for people with skin problems.



For patients with scleroderma, which causes the skin around the mouth to tighten, an electric toothbrush is easier for them to use, according to Insider.
