On Apple's official website, the company says that the 5K Studio Display model it has just launched will be compatible with a variety of Macs and some iPad lines.
Not stopping there, talking to The Verge, Apple said that this device will also work normally when used with Windows computers.
Specifically, the Studio Display screen will work like any separate monitor with a built-in webcam and speakers. However, according to Alex Bender - an Apple spokesman, special features such as Center Stage, Spatial Audio or calling the virtual assistant with the command "Hey Siri" will not work.
In addition, Apple also notes that the resolution of the screen will depend on the user's computer. According to Apple, not every computer can output a 5K image signal with a 60 Hz refresh rate through a Thunderbolt or USB-C port.
The Verge commented that the Studio Display monitor will not be a great choice when you only have a Windows computer. If you're looking for a monitor with built-in webcam and speakers, there are plenty of other options with lower prices and higher refresh rates.
The Studio Display monitor announced by Apple is priced from $ 1,600. Meanwhile, in the Vietnamese market, this device has a starting price of 44 million VND and the highest is 63 million VND for the screen surface option covered with nano mirror.
